Majolica frog & snake pitcher
Victorian, circa 1870. 9.1ins high, 7.1ins wide, 4.7ins depth.
Majolica jug/pitcher which features a frog holding a gun in one hand and a snake in the other which forms the handle.
Colouration: green, cream, brown, are predominant.
Bears a pattern number, 'AG3'.

Condition
Good. No restoration.
Wear to the high points of the molding.
KILN EFFECTS: over glazed bruise to the snakes mouth;
uneven glaze application to snake;
flecks of stray coloured glaze to the exterior;
glaze run to the green glaze.
