Minton Majolica Ram's head jardiniere&stand
Victorian, circa 1870. 14ins high, 18.1ins wide, 15ins depth.
Minton Majolica jardinière and stand which features ram's head handles and fruit swags.
Turquoise ground version.
Colouration: turquoise, green, ochre, are predominant.

Condition
Jardiniere: Good. Some small flakes to rim.
Scratches and staining from use.
KILN EFFECTS: uneven glaze application to turquoise ground and interior;
kiln detritus caught in the glaze to the turquoise ground.
RESTORATION: Filled chips to foot rim,
leaves, fruit and flowers.
Remodelled missing tip to the ear on one ram.
Retouched paint loss to flowers and fruit
and flakes to both rams' head, ears and horns.
Stand: Good. Some small flakes to ochre rim.
Scratches and staining from use.
RESTORATION: filled chips to underside of rim.
