Minton Majolica oyster plate which features six shell-shaped wells surrounded by seashells. Cobalt blue ground version. Colouration: cobalt blue, turquoise, cream, are predominant.
The piece bears maker's marks for the Minton pottery. Bears a pattern number, '1323'. English diamond registration mark for the date 23/03/1867.

Condition
CONDITION: Fair. Flake to the underside associated with kiln detritus.
KILN EFFECTS: kiln grit caught in the glaze to the interior;a few glaze pops to the interior.
RESTORATION: Retouched flakes to the rim of three shells.
