Pair Staffordshire seated Queen Victoria&Prince Albert
Victorian, circa 1860. Tallest is 5.9ins high, 2.8ins wide, 3ins depth. Pair of Staffordshire figures with a royalty theme which feature Queen Victoria and Prince Albert, seated on a circular base.
Multi-coloured with underglaze blue version. Dull gilt base line and embellishment.
Decorated mainly to the front.

Condition
Queen Victoria: Generally good.
Small chip to lower base edge.
Paint loss to her hair.
Slight rubbing to gilt.
KILN EFFECTS: kiln soot caught in the glaze to the queen's face and reverse of throne;
shrinkage crack to the front lower base edge.
RESTORATION: old restoration to crown.
Prince Albert: Generally good. No restoration.
Two hairlines to both legs to reverse of throne.
Two small flakes one to nose the other to prince's book.
Slight rubbing to gilt.
KILN EFFECTS: shrinkage cracks to the shredded clay;
craze lines to the front and reverse,
some are slightly stained;
kiln soot caught in the glaze to the front of the base;
