Pyramid size Vaseline glass fairy lamp

Circa 1880. 4.75 ins high. Pyramid size Vaseline glass fairy lamp. Green opalesence pyramid size glass dome sits in an embossed glass candle holder. Fairy lamps originated in England in the 1840's and are candle burning night lights that would have been used in nurseries, hallways, and dimly lit corners of the home.







Makers marks to base of the cup 'S CLARKE'S FAIRY TRADE MARK'.

Condition

Dome: Good.

Slight wear and nibbles to both rims.





Uniform bubbles in the glass.

Holder: Some wear to the feet,



some small chips to rim.
