Set of 3 Krause Majolica Heron Handled Vases&Jardiniere

Victorian, circa 1890. Tallest is 6.7ins high, 10.6ins wide, 5.5ins depth. Set of three Krause Majolica jardinière and vases which feature heron head handles. Colouration: green, brown, cobalt blue, are predominant.









The piece bears maker's marks for the Krause pottery. Bears a pattern number, '521 and 528'.

Jardiniere: Good.

Some small flakes to foot rim



and one swan's head.



KILN EFFECTS: notable crazing to interior;



kiln grit caught in the glaze to the exterior;



shrinkage crack to one swan's wing.



RESTORATION. One swan's neck re-glued and join retouched.





Stabilized and retouched crack to rim.





Filled chip to one swan's head.



Vase 1: Good.

Flake to one swan's head.



RESTORATION. Retouching to one leaf.



Filled chip to one wing tip.



Retouched flakes to two wings.





Vase 2: Good. No restoration.

Small chip to upper base.



Small flake to rim.



KILN EFFECTS: small firing hole to exterior.
