Victorian, circa 1880. 6.7ins high, 7.5ins wide, 5.7ins depth. Worcester Majolica tea set which features a teapot, creamer and sugar pot all modelled the form of pumpkins. Colouration: cream, green, blue, are predominant.
The piece bears maker's marks for the Worcester pottery. Book reference not found.
CONDITION: Teapot: Generally good. A few small flakes to the spout.
Slight wear to the handle.
KILN EFFECTS: kiln soot caught in the glaze to the interior;
tiny glaze misses to the cover.
RESTORATION: remodelled handle to the cover.
Filled chips to rim,
and one filled chip to leaf around spout.
Creamer: Generally good. Tight hairline to the top of handle.
Couple of tiny chips to inside of rim.
Some wear to rim.
KILN EFFECTS: kiln soot caught in the glaze to exterior.
RESTORATION: filled chips to spout.
Sugar: Generally good. KILN EFFECTS: a few specks of stray coloured glaze to the pot.
RESTORATION: stabilized and retouched hairline to rim of the pot.
