
Victorian, circa 1860. 2.8ins high, 4.3ins wide, 3.1ins depth. Pair of Staffordshire Pottery porcellaneous figures which feature a lion and a lioness with her cub, recumbent on a shaped base.
Green ground. Dull gilt embellishment. Decorated 'in the round' - decoration to front and reverse. Vent hole to underside of one.
CONDITION: Lioness: Generally good. Kiln effects: shrinkage line to underside.
RESTORATION: Stabilised and retouched hairline to front left leg.
Retouching to both ears.
Lion: Generally good. Kiln effects: shrinkage line across mane.
RESTORATION: repair to one end of the base, which goes across the tail.
