Large George Jones Majolica Bird and Lily Jardiniere

Victorian, circa 1872. 15.4ins high, 17.1ins wide, 17.1ins depth. George Jones Majolica jardinière which features water lilies, birds (Reed Buntings), bulrushes and dragonflies.

Cobalt blue ground version. Colouration: cobalt blue, green, white, are predominant.

The piece bears maker's marks for the George Jones pottery. Bears a pattern number, '3326 X'.

Condition

CONDITION: Very Good. No restoration. Slight wear to the rim.

 

Slight wear to the interior at the bottom.

KILN EFFECTS: shrinkage line to two lily leaves.
