Rare George Jones Majolica Marmalade Pot

Victorian, circa 1870. 6.5ins high, 6.5ins wide, 6.5ins depth. George Jones Majolica preserve pot and cover which features an orange forming the handle on the lid.

Orange tree blossom and leaves around the side of the pot.

Cobalt blue ground version.

Colouration: cobalt blue, green, white, are predominant. Bears a pattern number, '2702 80'.

Condition

CONDITION: Good. KILN EFFECTS: surface craze lines to the underside. These are not present on the interior.

RESTORATION. Retouched bruise to lid rim.

Stabilised and retouched hairline to the rim of the pot.
