
Victorian, circa 1872. 5.3ins high, 10.4ins wide, 9.4ins depth. Minton Majolica chestnut server which features chestnuts and chestnut leaves. Unusually, the piece still has it's original brass warmer and spoon.
Colouration: green, brown, turquoise, are predominant.
The piece bears maker's marks for the Minton pottery. Bears a pattern number, '594'. Marks include a factory specific date cipher for the year 1872.
CONDITION: Good. Some wear to brass insert.
KILN EFFECTS: glaze pops to the underside of the dish.
RESTORATION. Handle of the spoon is reglued and join retouched.
