
Victorian, circa 1880. 10ins high, 7.9ins wide, 6.1ins depth. Hugo Lonitz Majolica candelabra base which features a partridge and two chicks in front of an oak tree.
Colouration: green, brown, yellow, are predominant. The piece bears maker's marks associated with the Lonitz pottery. Bears a pattern number, '1265'.
Originally produced as the lower section of a two-part candelabra, the upper branching sconce assembly is no longer present. As such, the piece is offered as a standalone candelabra base. Nevertheless, it remains an appealing display piece and can still serve effectively as a single candle holder.
CONDITION: Good. RESTORATION. A few filled chips and flakes to the leaves.
