Circa 1890. 10.2ins high, 10.2ins wide, 3.5ins depth. Mafra Portuguese Palissy Majolica wall plate which features a lobster and four shells, sitting on an extruded clay ground.
Colouration: green, brown, pink, are predominant.
The piece bears maker's marks for the Mafra pottery.
CONDITION: Good. Three chips to the reverse (foot rim), which have been coloured in to blend in.
RESTORATION. One leg has been remodelled.
