
Circa 1875. 2.6ins high, 13ins wide, 13ins depth. School of Paris Majolica wall plate which features three fish (pike, perch, carp), a snake, a lizard, a frog, shells, a moth and leaves.
Colouration: cobalt blue, green, brown, are predominant.
Probably made by Thomas Sergent.
CONDITION: Very Good. Chip to reverse on the foot rim.
KILN EFFECTS: thin glaze application on a couple of patches on the rim.
RESTORATION. Filled chip to pike lower rear fin.
Stabilised and retouched hairline to lizards neck.
