Large George Jones Majolica Banana Leaf Platter

Victorian, circa 1875. 11.8ins high, 20.5ins wide, 3.1ins depth. George Jones Majolica platter which features a banana leaf sitting on a branch-like base.

Colouration: green and brown are predominant.

The piece bears maker's marks for the George Jones pottery. Bears a pattern number, '1798'.

Condition

CONDITION: Good. Very slight wear to the centre. Slight wear on the rim in places.

KILN EFFECTS: glaze miss to the centre.

RESTORATION. Stabilised and retouched hairline to the rim.

Filled chip to the rim.

Retouched wear in places.
