Rare George Jones Majolica Orchids Moonflask Vase

Victorian, circa 1875. 14.7ins high, 10.8ins wide, 5.5ins depth. George Jones Majolica vase which features orchids growing out of bulbs, which form the feet of the vase.

Moonflask-like shape.

Cobalt blue ground version. Colouration: cobalt blue, white, green, are predominant.

Bears a pattern number, '3566 80'.

Condition

CONDITION: Good. KILN EFFECTS: glaze run to the cobalt blue in places.

RESTORATION. Filled chip to rim. Stabilised and retouched crack to rim.
