Victorian, circa 1880. 3.5ins high, 9.7ins wide, 5.2ins depth. Wedgwood Majolica sardine box which features a fishing boat named 'SARDINIA', with fish in nets at either end.
An anchor forms the handle.
Colouration: brown, blue, grey, are predominant.
The piece bears maker's marks for the Wedgwood pottery. Bears a pattern number, 'M 2582'. English diamond registration mark for the date 1878.
CONDITION: Good. No restoration.Very tight hairline to interior/underside.
