Victorian, circa 1880. 6.7ins high, 11.9ins wide, 9ins depth. Unidentified English Majolica game pie dish which features a recumbent gun dog forming the knop on the lid. Surrounded by game birds and rabbits.
The dish with grape vine garlands and game hanging from them.
Colouration: brown, green, ochre, are predominant.
CONDITION: Cover: Generally Good.
Kiln effect: glaze miss to bird.
RESTORATION. Section of rim reglued and join retouched.
Dish: Very Good. No restoration. A couple of flakes to the rim.
