
Circa 1910. 16.3ins high, 7.1ins wide, 7.1ins deep. WMF green glass claret jug of typical art nouveau stylised form.
The bottom mount depictis a maiden's head with a flower in her hair. The hair flows around the piece creating a winding pattern.
The upper mount has floral motifs. The finial modelled with grapes. The lid is operated via a hinge and a thumb piece.
Impressed maker's marks to reverse of one foot 'WMF', 'I/O' (normal thickness of plating/gilding), and 'as' (antique silver finish).
CONDITION: Good. General, uniform tarnishing from age and use. Glass undamaged. The metal in good condition, though the plating has uniformly worn away. Hinged lid in good working order.
