Victorian, circa 1870. 10.1ins high, 10.6ins wide, 4.3ins depth. Parr Factory Staffordshire figure with a childhood theme which features a boy, standing in front of a St. Bernard dog, stood on an oval base.
Dull gilt base line and embellishment. Decorated 'in the round' - decoration to front and reverse.
Vent hole to the reverse.

CONDITION: Generally good. Flake to his left hand.
KILN EFFECTS: a few specks of kiln grit caught in the glaze to the lower base edge;
shrinkage line along the mold join to the dog's back.
RESTORATION. Boy's head reglued and join retouched.
Remodelled tip to hat plumage.
