Staffordshire King Charles Spaniel on Leaf Base

Victorian, circa 1860. 7.5ins high, 6.9ins wide, 3ins depth. Staffordshire Pottery figure which features a King Charles spaniel, stood on a leaf embellished base.

Dull gilt embellishment.

Condition

CONDITION: Generally good. Minor paint losses to dog's markings and leaves.

Rubbing to gilt.

KILN EFFECTS: small firing hole and kiln dirt to reverse;

fleck of stray russet glaze to base.

RESTORATION. Filled chip to base and lower base edge on reverse.

Stabilised and retouched hairline running from left ear to chest.

Retouched paint losses.
