In Greek mythology, the naiads are a type of female spirit or nymph, with fish tails. They preside over wells, fountains, springs, streams, brooks and other bodies of fresh water.

Maker's mark, 'R LALIQUE' moulded to the tail.

Engraved, 'Lalique' to the underside.
