Barbizet French Palissy Majolica Platter with Fish

Circa 1870. 10.6ins high, 16.1ins wide, 2.2ins depth. Barbizet French Palissy Majolica wall platter which features various overlying fish and shells on a bed of fern leaves.

Colouration: white, green, blue, are predominant.

Condition

CONDITION: Good.

Kiln effects: thin glaze application around rim in areas, showing brown underlying pottery through. Looks like staining.

RESTORATION. Filled chip to gill and fin of big fish.

Filled chip to tail of another fish.

Filled chip to underside of rim.
