Barbizet Palissy Majolica Palissy Fish Platter

Circa 1870. 12.6ins high, 17.7ins wide, 3.9ins depth. Barbizet (attributed) French Palissy Majolica wall platter which features fish (including a pike), a snake, a lizard, a frog, insects, shellfish and leaves.

Colouration: blue, green, brown, are predominant.

Condition

CONDITION: Good. Small patch of scratches to the reverse.

RESTORATION. Filled chip to pike tail fin and dorsal fin.

Filled chip to flower.

Remodelled flower to one end of the platter.
