Victorian, circa 1862. 16.8ins high, 12.6ins wide, 12.2ins depth. Minton Majolica vase which features three merboys supporting a vessel adorned with seaweeds.
The rim of the vase is modelled to depict breaking waves.
Turquoise ground version. Colouration: turquoise, green, cream, are predominant.
The piece bears maker's marks for the Minton pottery. Marks include a factory specific date cipher for the year 1862.
CONDITION: Good. Kiln effects: a few shrinkage lines on the merboys.
Kiln grit on the rim.
RESTORATION. Stabilised and retouched crack to the neck of one merboy.
