Minton Majolica Oak Jug/Pitcher with Snail Handle

Victorian, circa 1863. 7.4ins high, 7.7ins wide, 5.9ins depth. Minton Majolica jug/pitcher which features oak leaves and acorns to the sides and a snail to the handle.

Colouration: brown, green, yellow, are predominant.

The piece bears maker's marks for the Minton pottery.

Bears a pattern number, '553'. Marks include a factory specific date cipher for the year 1863.

Condition

CONDITION: Very Good. No restoration. KILN EFFECTS: notable crazing to the underside.
