Joseph Holdcroft Majolica Bird on Nest Teapot

Victorian, circa 1880. 5.1ins high, 9.3ins wide, 5.5ins depth. Holdcroft Majolica teapot which features the lid in the form of a bird roosting on its nest.

The pot, modelled in the form of the bird nest is embellished with leaves and blossom, which sprout from the naturalistic branch effect handle.

Colouration: brown, green, white, are predominant.

Bears a pattern number, '29'.

CONDITION: Pristine. No restoration.
