George Jones Thatched Beehive Cheese Keeper

Victorian, circa 1872. 13.6ins high, 10ins wide, 9.8ins depth. George Jones Majolica cheese keep which features a straw thatched beehive, bound with rope.

The base in the form of a wooden platform.

Yellow ground version. Colouration: yellow, brown, green, are predominant.

Bears a pattern number, '3249'. English diamond registration mark for the date ??/??/1872.

Condition

CONDITION: Cover: Good. RESTORATION. Two stabilised and retouched hairlines to the side.

Retouched flakes and a few inconspicous flakes.

Base: Good. RESTORATION. Retouched flakes to the four corners.

Stabilised and retouched hairline running around circumference of the tray.
