Minton Majolica Rabbits with Leaf Dish

Victorian, circa 1870. 4.7ins high, 9.8ins wide, 5.5ins depth. Minton Majolica figural bowl which features two rabbits amongst foliage, supporting a leaf.

Colouration: turquoise, green, white, are predominant.

The piece bears maker's marks for the Minton pottery. Bears a pattern number, '1451'. Marks include a factory specific date cipher for the year 1870.

Condition

CONDITION: Good. KILN EFFECTS: small firing crack to the rim;

patches of thin glaze application to the turquoise leaf.

RESTORATION. One rabbit ear reglued and join retouched.
