Royal Worcester Majolica Putti in Gondola Dish

Victorian, circa 1880. 5.1ins high, 11.2ins wide, 4.3ins depth. Royal Worcester Majolica figural dish which features a putto seated on a gondola boat, with an eagle figurehead.

Colouration: turquoise, white, brown, are predominant.

The piece bears maker's marks for the Royal Worcester pottery.

Condition

CONDITION: Good. KILN EFFECTS: a few specks of kiln detritus caught in the glaze to the interior of the dish.

RESTORATION. Rudder handle reglued and join retouched.

Filled chip to left thumb.
