George Jones Majolica Daisy Cheese Keeper

Victorian, circa 1870. 10.2ins high, 12ins wide, 12ins depth. George Jones & Sons Majolica cheese keep which features a picket fence, daisies, corn, brambles and a twig handle.

Colouration: turquoise, green, ochre, are predominant.

The piece bears maker's marks for the George Jones & Sons pottery.

CONDITION: Cover: Generally good. RESTORATION. Filled chip to branch end on handle.

Another filled chip to handle.

Stabilised and retouched crack running up the side.

Stand: Good. A few flakes to the rim. KILN EFFECTS: uneven glaze application to the rim; stained crazing to the rim.
