Pair Art Nouveau WMF Photograph Frames

Circa 1910. 9.1ins high, 6ins wide, 4.3ins deep. A pair of WMF photo frames in typical Art Nouveau style. Whiplash curves adorn the front, with berries above the photo area.

Removable back with folding stand.

Glass cover to the front.

Maker's marks impressed to the undersides - one with 'WMFB' and 'OX' (Oxidised).

The other with 'B', 'OX' and the WMF ostrich mark.

Illustrated on page 304, 'Art Nouveau Domestic Design from Wurttembergische Metallwaren Fabrik' published by the 'Antique Collectors Club'.

Condition

CONDITION: Good. A few very minor dents and bends, in line with age and careful use.

The metal backs have been refreshed with neat leather coverings.

The mechanism for removing the back (to change the photo) in good working condition.

Small repair to one bracket, with resulting tiny split to front.
