Wedgwood Fairyland Lustre Octagonal Bowl-'Gargoyles'

Circa 1920. 3.5ins high, 7.5ins wide, 7.5ins deep. Wedgwood Fairyland Lustre octagonal bowl, the exterior decorated in 'Gargoyles' pattern, on night-time ground.

This pattern features fairies, elves, imps, firbolgs and birds dancing amongst various landscapes and scenes. And pillar archways with gargoyle faces.

'Bird in a Hoop' design on Mother of Pearl ground, to interior.

This pattern features a bird perched in a hoop, inside a cage on two panels. Colourful, fantastic landscapes, with fairies, elves, trees, spiderwebs and rainbows.

'WEDGWOOD ENGLAND' Portland Vase back stamp to the underside with painted pattern number, 'Z4968'

CONDITION: Very good. No restoration.

Almost nil wear to gilding.

Almost nil wear to interior.

Rings very well.
