The embroidery is worked in silk and chenille on a silk ground, in a variety of stitches.
Colours greens, cream, blue, pink, browns and black.
Subject is a country/rural scene with a shepherdess tending her sheep.
Hand painted detail to the sky, ladies face is worked on paper.
Framed in an old, gilded, gesso frame with rippled, old glass.
Mounting: Not inspected out of the frame. The embroidery is fixed to a wooden board and the frame backed with brown paper.
Slight pulling to the ground where the sky meets the horizon.
No stitch losses.
Colours are all good and strong.
No colour run.
Neatly and evenly stretched.
Frame showing slight wear, otherwise sound.
