Pair Staffordshire Jackfield Great Dane figures

Victorian, circa 1860. Tallest is 7.9ins high, 5.1ins wide, 3.5ins depth. Pair of Staffordshire Pottery figures which feature a Great Dane, seated on an oval base.

Jackfield black version. Dull gilt base line and embellishment.

Decorated mainly to the front.

Large vent hole to underside.

CONDITION: Right facing: Very good. No restoration.

Some rubbing to gilt.

Slight wear to reverse.

Left facing: Very good. No restoration.

Some rubbing to gilt.

Slight wear to front and reverse.

KILN EFFECTS: a couple of specks of kiln detritus caught in the glaze;

 

touch mark to top of head.
