pre-Victorian, circa 1820. 7.9ins high, 3ins wide, 3.1ins depth. Staffordshire Pottery pearlware figure with a maritime theme which features a sailor, stood on a shaped base.
Decorated 'in the round' - decoration to front and reverse.
CONDITION: Generally good.
A few paint losses to clothing.
Slight wear and abrasions to the front;
thin glaze application to black enamel;
Shrinkage line to reverse side of face.
RESTORATION. Stabilised and retouched crack to neck, and shoulders.
Retouched chip to base rim.
