Wedgwood Majolica Pictorial Pitcher with Pewter Lid

Victorian, circa 1867. 9.1ins high, 6.3ins wide, 5.5ins depth. Wedgwood Majolica jug/pitcher with lid which features pictorial panels depicting putti riding dolphins.

Colouration: brown, cobalt blue, green, are predominant.

The piece bears maker's marks for the Wedgwood pottery. Marks include a factory specific date cipher for the year 1867.

Condition

CONDITION: Very good. No restoration.

Slight wear in places.

A scratch to the front.

KILN EFFECTS: shrinkage lines along the mold joins.
