Victorian, circa 1875. 8.7ins high, 15ins wide, 8.3ins depth. George Jones Majolica strawberry server, spoon, sugar pot and creamer which features two blue tits perched on a trestle of twigs entwined with strawberries.
Colouration: brown, green, pink, are predominant.
The piece bears maker's marks for the George Jones pottery. Bears a pattern number, '3423'.
English diamond registration mark for the date 09/01/1875.
CONDITION: Server: Good.
Small, stable bruise to rim of pot holder.
Some small flakes to leaves.
RESTORATION. 2 feet and 1 wing tip reglued and joins retouched.
Spoon: Very good. No restoration.
Pot: Good.
Slight staining from use to interior of one.
KILN EFFECTS: Flecks of stray coloured glaze to interior;
Firing pit to interior;
shrinkage lines to interiors of both pots.
