Victorian, circa 1870. 6.7ins high, 5.9ins wide, 3.3ins depth. Minton Majolica flower holder which features a scallop shell supported by seaweed on a rocky base.
Colouration: cream, brown, green, are predominant.
The piece bears maker's marks for the Minton pottery. Bears a pattern number, '1560'. Marks include a factory specific date cipher for the year 1870.
CONDITION: Good.
KILN EFFECTS: a few tiny glaze pops to the shell.
RESTORATION. Filled chip to one small shell
and rim of one hole.
