Victorian, circa 1873. 5.5ins high, 11.8ins wide, 10.6ins depth. George Jones Majolica dish which features a kingfisher bird perched above water lily leaves, flowers, and bulrushes.
Colouration: green, white, grey, are predominant.
The piece bears maker's marks for the George Jones pottery.
English diamond registration mark for the date 10/12/1873.
CONDITION: Generally good.
Wear to the high points of the molding.
RESTORATION. Kingfisher reglued and joins retouched.
Remodelled beak and fish.
Retouched flakes to rim, flowers and leaves.
Filled chip to rim.
Stabilised and retouched crack to rim.
