Adams and Bromley Majolica Fishes Oyster Plate

Victorian, circa 1870. 10ins high, 9.6ins wide, 0.6ins depth. Adams and Bromley Majolica oyster plate which features six oyster wells moulded as fish heads, a larger fish to the rim.

Colouration: grey, brown, ochre, are predominant.

 

Condition

CONDITION: Good. No restoration.

Slight wear to the high points of the molding.

KILN EFFECTS: kiln detritus caught in the glaze;

over glazed chip to the rim.
