Majolica Shell Sardine Dish And Cover

Victorian, circa 1870. 4.5ins high, 7.1ins wide, 5.9ins depth. Majolica sardine box which features shells, corals, seaweed and fish.

Colouration: brown, white, green, are predominant.

CONDITION: Cover: Very good. No restoration.

Slight wear to finial.

Dish: Good. No restoration.

Bruise to rim, small flake to rim.

KILN EFFECTS: firing hole to the underside.
