Pair German Majolica Lady And Gent Figures

Victorian, circa 1880. Tallest is 13.4ins high, 4.7ins wide, 4.7ins depth. Pair of German Majolica figurals which feature a well dressed lady and gentleman, walking a dog.

Colouration: blue, cream, turquoise, are predominant.

Bears a pattern number, '951'. The gentleman has an impressed, 'deponirt' mark to the reverse.

This is a type of German patent mark. The figures are very high quality and may be from the Hugo Lonitz factory.

Condition

CONDITION: Male: Very good. No restoration.

Slight abrasion to left leg.

Glaze miss to hat.

Female: Good. No restoration.

Bruise with associated flake to left arm.

Chip to brim of hat.

KILN EFFECTS: flecks of stray coloured glaze to arms and chest;

shrinkage line to right foot and leg.
