
Circa 1880. 15ins high, 12.6ins wide, 7.5ins depth. Choisy Majolica vase which features a rooster stood in front of a stone wall.
Signed, 'LOUIS CARRIER-BELLEUSE' to the side of the base.
Colouration: brown, blue, dark pink, are predominant.
The piece bears maker's marks for the Choisy pottery. Bears a pattern number, '1569'.
CONDITION: Good.
Minor flaking to rim of vase
and rooster's comb.
KILN EFFECTS: shrinkage line to rim of vase.
RESTORATION. Three ends of tail feathers with filled chips.
