Jerome Massier Fils Majolica Dog Spill Vase

Victorian, circa 1900. 8.7ins high, 13.6ins wide, 6.3ins depth. Jerome Massier Fils French Majolica vase which features a hunting dog stood in front of a tree trunk.

Colouration: cream, brown, green, are predominant.

The piece bears maker's marks for the Jerome Massier Fils pottery. Book reference ,'Barbotines de la Côte d'Azur' by Marsee Bottero, page 110, figure 6.

 

Condition

CONDITION: Generally good. Some abrasions to nose and ground.

RESTORATION. Remodelled tail and branch.

Retouched flakes to ears, spill rim and base edge.
