Victorian, circa 1880. 11.4ins high, 12ins wide, 12ins depth. George Jones and Sons Majolica cheese keep which features a picket fence, daisies, corn, brambles and a twig handle.
Cobalt blue ground version. Colouration: cobalt blue, green, white, are predominant.
The piece bears maker's marks for the George Jones and Sons pottery. Bears a pattern number, '520 11'. Book reference ,'George Jones Ceramics 1861-1951' by Robert Cluett, page 69, figure 129.
CONDITION: Cover: Generally good.
KILN EFFECTS: a few specks of kiln detritus caught in the glaze.
RESTORATION. Stabilised and retouched crack to rim, which runs up the side.
