The embroidery is worked in silk on a silk ground, in a variety of stitches.
Colours golds, red, greens, pinks, blue and cream.
Picture depicts a wonderful bouquet of flowers to the centre,
surrounded by a delicate floral border.
Framed in an old, possibly original wood frame with rippled, dimpled, old glass.
Mounting: The silkwork is stitched onto linen and stretched around a wooden backing frame.
Frame backed with brown paper.
CONDITION: Generally Good.
A few small holes,
nd one split to the ground.
No stitch losses.
Colours are all good and strong with no noticeable fading.
No colour run.
Stretching is very slightly uneven.
Frame showing wear and chips, but structurally sound.
