Well worked floral border. Colours green, cream, blue, green, pink, orange, red and brown.
Signed and dated, 'Mary Smithson's Work, Wrought at Sancton, NOVEMBER, the 18 1809'. Sancton is a village in Yorkshire, England.
A wonderful set of motifs, including a house, a cow, birds (parrots), a tree and flowers.
Framed in an old maple frame with glass. Mounted on acid free card.
CONDITION: Good. A number of stains.
Broken threads to grass.
Colours are mostly good and strong with no noticeable fading. Very slight colour run around the brown, pink and green threads.
Frame showing slight wear, otherwise sound.
