Circa 1920. 10.75ins by 7.75ins wide. Wedgwood Fairyland lustre plaque decorated in the 'Evles in a Pine Tree' design - a woodland scene
with center elf smoking a pipe, another elf at the bottom right corner at base of tree. A third elf sits in the top of the tree.
Rainbow coloured ground to bottom third, purple ground to top two thirds.
Green and blue mottled border.
Gilt Wedgwood Portland Vase back stamp, with 'WEDGWOOD ENGLAND', to the reverse.
Framed in an old, but not original, black frame.
CONDITION: Good. No restoration.
Very slight rubbing to gilt.
Very light scratches to the panel interior from cleaning.
A scratch to the top left corner.
The right quarter of the inner panel has a matt appearance in comparison to the rest of the plaque, when caught in a certain light. It is probable that the glaze did not take properly here, during original manufacture.
There is definitely no restoration. (The tile has been fully inspected out of the frame. The frame is not concealing any issues.)
