Staffordshire Pottery Hen on Nest Tureen

Victorian, circa 1900. 7.7ins high, 8.7ins wide, 6.7ins depth. Staffordshire Pottery egg tureen and cover which features a hen, resting on a basketweave oval base.

Decorated 'in the round' - decoration to front and reverse.

CONDITION: Hen: Very good. No restoration. Nest: Very good. No restoration. Some small flakes to inner rim.

KILN EFFECTS: a few specks of kiln detritus caught in the glaze to the interior.
